The national database of informal sector workers, eShram portal, has hit the 30-crore registrations milestone in just three years, according to the labour ministry.

This achievement underscores the significant social impact of the government's efforts to assist unorganised workers nationwide, as stated by the ministry.

Launched on August 26, 2021, the eShram portal's rapid adoption emphasizes its utility for registering more than 30 crore unorganised workers.

The government aims to make eShram a 'One-Stop-Solution' for unorganised workers across the country, as announced during the 2024-25 Budget speech.

This comprehensive integration will bundle various social security schemes under one roof, ensuring unorganised workers access to necessary benefits.

The 'eShram - One Stop Solution' project integrates major schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY, AB-PMJAY, PM-SVANidhi, and others to benefit unorganised workers.

Two-way integration with Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) will further streamline access to services for eShram and SIDH registrants.

MoLE holds regular inter-ministerial meetings to onboard all unorganised workers, including those in various health and rural employment sectors.

The ministry has also approached other ministries to expedite the registration of unorganised workers under their purview on the eShram portal.
