Madhya Pradesh Teacher Arrested for Molesting Girl Students

A government-run school teacher was detained on allegations of molesting girl students in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district, according to a police official. The accused, Shiv Vishal Namdeo, was arrested and sent to jail on Thursday.

The incident reportedly occurred in Malga, Anuppur district. Namdeo substituted for teacher Shakuntala Singh from August 20 to August 23 while she attended official training in Bhopal. A complaint stated, 'My daughter returned from the school on September 4 and revealed that during Singh's absence, Namdeo inappropriately touched her from the first day.'

Other students confirmed similar incidents, stating that Namdeo also showed them obscene videos. The complaint was filed at Ramnagar police station with assistance from Shakuntala Singh. Anuppur Superintendent of Police Moti-ur-Rehman confirmed that Namdeo has been charged under Bharatiya Nyay Sahita (BNS) and the POCSO Act. The accused remains in custody as investigations continue.
