Body of Young Man Recovered After Four-Day Search in Rajouri

The body of a 20-year-old man was recovered from a river in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, bringing a four-day search operation to a close, officials announced on Monday.
Identified as Mohammad Yaseer from Sarula, the young man was swept away by strong currents while crossing the river on Friday. Rescue teams found his body five kilometers downstream.
Comprising police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and local volunteers, the rescue teams coordinated efforts to locate Yaseer. His body was handed over to his family for last rites following the completion of legal formalities, officials said.
