13-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Raped by School Peon, Becomes Pregnant

A 13-year-old girl in Kayamganj has allegedly become pregnant after being raped by a government school peon and his associate. An FIR has been filed, and police are investigating. The accused men threatened the girl into silence, but her mother discovered the pregnancy and reported the case.

In a deeply distressing case emerging from Kayamganj, a 13-year-old girl has become pregnant, reportedly after being raped by a government school peon, Pankaj, and his associate, Amit, police confirmed on Saturday.

An FIR has been registered against the men under charges including rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. According to authorities, the girl was attacked when she went out to relieve herself at night. She was taken to an empty house where Amit raped her while Pankaj kept a lookout.

The accused men allegedly forced a cloth into the girl's mouth and threatened to kill her if she spoke out. The case came to light when the girl's mother noticed her five-month pregnancy and approached the police. Initial medical examinations have been conducted, but no arrests have been made as of yet, said Kayamganj Kotwali in-charge Inspector Ram Avatar.
