Delhi Police Investigates Extortion Bid by Alleged Gangster Goldy Brar

The developer, based in Vasant Vihar, reported receiving a WhatsApp call demanding Rs 2 crore. A case has been registered and police are looking into the matter.

The Delhi Police have initiated an investigation into an extortion attempt involving a real estate developer and an alleged gangster, Goldy Brar, an officer said on Saturday.

The developer, who operates out of Vasant Vihar, contacted authorities on Friday after receiving a WhatsApp call from an individual claiming to be Brar. The caller demanded Rs 2 crore from the developer.

Subsequently, the police filed an extortion case and launched a probe into the incident.
