Elon Musk Criticizes Brazilian Judge Amid Starlink Account Block
Elon Musk called Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes a 'dictator' on X, following claims that Starlink's financial accounts were blocked in Brazil. Musk did not confirm reports that the blocking was due to a lack of X representatives complying with orders to curb fake news and hate speech.
On Thursday, Billionaire Elon Musk took to X to label Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes as a 'dictator.' The accusation followed a post claiming that Starlink's financial accounts had been blocked in Brazil.
However, Musk did not directly validate local media reports suggesting that the blockage stemmed from a lack of X representatives in the country. The judge's order came after the platform failed to follow legal mandates requiring the blockage of accounts disseminating fake news and hate messages.
