Nagaland Assembly Passes Six Bills, Adjourns Sine Die

The Nagaland assembly passed six bills, including amendments to the Goods and Services Tax and Municipal acts, as well as a bill on disqualification for defection in urban local bodies. The Nagaland assembly on Thursday passed six bills through a voice vote and subsequently adjourned the session sine die.

Prominent among the bills were the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Ninth Amendment) Bill, the Nagaland Municipal (Amendment) Bill, and the Disqualification on Ground of Defection in Urban Local Bodies Bill.

Speaker Sharingain Longkumer facilitated the voting process and declared the assembly session adjourned indefinitely after the bills were approved.
