A cheating accused allegedly attacked and kicked a constable in south Delhi's Khanpur area before fleeing with his family, an officer reported on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when Constable Madan, assigned to Farsh Bazar Police Station in Shahdara, attempted to serve a notice at Gajraj Singh's residence regarding a 2020 cheating case.
Singh is accused of mishandling and kicking the constable before escaping through a back door with his wife and son, locking the constable inside. Singh, currently out on anticipatory bail, has evaded joining the investigation despite receiving three notices. He is implicated in over 11 cases of cheating and attacking public servants, according to the police.
