Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday vowed to eradicate terrorism from Balochistan after the province suffered large-scale violence this week by militants.
Sharif visited Balochistan following multiple deadly attacks on Monday by the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which resulted in over 50 deaths, including 14 security personnel. Security forces retaliated by killing at least 21 terrorists.
The Prime Minister chaired a high-level security meeting in Quetta, attended by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti. Sharif condemned the attacks and pledged the federal government's full support in fighting terrorism.
