The distressing incident took place on August 25 when an acquaintance, Kashish Soni, reportedly took the girl to the accused, Shubham Verma's residence, according to Superintendent of Police, Vikrant Veer.
The girl's mother filed a complaint on Wednesday, alleging that Verma raped her daughter. Following the complaint, the police have registered an FIR and arrested the accused. Further investigations are ongoing, Veer added.
