In a determined address during the 'Jan Sanman Yatra', Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar firmly defended Maharashtra's welfare initiatives against the opposition's purported "fake campaigns". Pawar drew attention to impactful schemes, including the 'Ladki Bahin' program which supports women financially and provision of free cooking gas cylinders to millions of families across the state.
Refuting allegations that such schemes might destabilize state finances, Pawar asserted Maharashtra's robust revenue collection. He reassured citizens that the schemes are sustainable, backed by the state's financial resources, and dependent on the re-election of the Mahayuti coalition.
Pawar also addressed the recent controversy surrounding the collapse of the Shivaji Maharaj statue, promising strict action to prevent similar incidents. He underscored the administration's commitment to justice, highlighting ongoing dialogues with Union Minister of Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan on crucial agricultural issues.
