A case has been registered against several media persons following a complaint by Union Minister Suresh Gopi, who alleged that journalists obstructed him as he exited the Thrissur Ramanilayam government guest house.

The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, led to charges under sections 329(3), 126(2), and 132 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These sections pertain to trespassing, wrongful restraint, and using criminal force to deter a public servant from duty, police stated.

Footage shows Gopi pushing reporters away while attempting to get into his official vehicle, accusing the media of misleading the public on allegations against CPI(M) MLA M Mukesh.
