A 13-year-old boy died after an iron bar from an under-construction house fell on his head in Noida, police confirmed on Thursday.

An FIR has been registered under relevant sections against the landlord Gaurav Sharma and his uncle Devdutt Sharma, following a complaint by Rajesh Rai, the boy's father from Bihar's Buxar.

The incident took place on August 23 near Nagar Dairy. Rohit was passing by the under-construction house when the iron bar fell. He was rushed to Noida District Hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Rai's complaint alleges the accident was a result of negligent construction without proper safety measures. Police have registered an FIR under sections 106 (1) and 290 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
