Policeman Killed, Another Injured in Anti-Naxal Operation Accident in Chhattisgarh
A 39-year-old policeman was killed and another injured in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, when their motorcycle fell into a ditch during an anti-Naxal operation. Assistant sub-inspector Telam Chamru succumbed to his injuries, while constable Uday Kumar Patwa is in stable condition. Investigation is ongoing.

A 39-year-old policeman lost his life, and another was injured when their motorcycle plunged into a ditch during an anti-Naxal operation in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, police confirmed on Thursday.
The incident occurred near Bechapal village on Wednesday night as security personnel conducted a search operation in the Mirtur police station area, according to a senior police official.
Assistant sub-inspector Telam Chamru of the District Reserve Guard (DRG), who was driving the two-wheeler, succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, constable Uday Kumar Patwa of Bastar Fighters is receiving medical attention and is currently stable.
The accident reportedly happened when the motorcycle skidded into a roadside ditch. Both officers were immediately taken to a hospital in Dantewada, with Chamru later succumbing to his injuries. Patwa was transferred to a hospital in Jagdalpur where his condition was declared stable. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
