Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a significant five-hour meeting with his entire Council of Ministers, focusing on issues impacting women and the timely delivery of policy measures.
Held at the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, the meeting took stock of the progress made on the 100-day agenda of the BJP-led NDA government's third term. Special emphasis was placed on policies benefiting women, the poor, youth, and farmers.
Attendees included secretaries from various government departments who made presentations on their ministries' progress. The government highlighted the approval of projects worth more than Rs 2.30 lakh crore aimed at developing infrastructure, including new railway lines, ports, airports, and industrial smart cities, as part of the vision for Viksit Bharat by 2047. The meeting also came in response to national protests against incidents of atrocities on women.
