Jeweller and Sons Nabbed in 5 kg Gold Swindle Case
Police have arrested Rajiv Verma and his two sons from Hyderabad for allegedly swindling over 5 kg of gold ornaments worth more than Rs 3 crore from a trader. They were tracked down using technical surveillance. A portion of the stolen gold has been recovered, and further investigation is underway.

In a shocking turn of events, the police have apprehended Rajiv Verma and his two sons in Hyderabad for allegedly swindling more than 5 kg of gold ornaments from a trader, Kapil Chohan. The stolen ornaments are valued at over Rs 3 crore.
Lalit Kumar, the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Mukerian, disclosed that the Verma family had invited Chohan to showcase his gold ornaments in their shop, under the pretense of introducing him to potential customers.
However, the family neither returned the gold nor paid Chohan for it, dissolving into thin air. Acting on Chohan's complaint, an FIR was lodged, and the accused were tracked and arrested using technical surveillance. The police have successfully recovered 2.31 kg of the stolen gold and are continuing their investigation to retrieve the remaining ornaments.
