A transporter is under investigation for allegedly not delivering gym equipment and household items valued at Rs 5.50 lakh that were dispatched from Thane to Uttarakhand over a month ago.

According to an official, the items were sent on July 11 from Bhiwandi, Thane, but never arrived at their destination.

The Wagle Estate police have filed a case against the transport firm's representatives under section 316 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) after the complaint was lodged.
