Two persons were booked for pushing a 20-year-old woman into the flesh trade in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, a Thane police official reported on Sunday.

The complainant revealed she visited one of the accused's houses in Diva on April 17, where she was lured with a job opportunity in Jabalpur, according to an officer from Rabodi police station.

Upon reaching Jabalpur, the victim was handed over to another woman for Rs 5000 and subsequently forced into a sex racket. She was beaten when she resisted. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act against the two women, who are yet to be arrested.
