German police announced on Saturday that their search for an unknown assailant continues, following a brutal stabbing attack that left three dead and several others wounded at a festival in Solingen.
Authorities confirmed that eight people were injured, with five sustaining serious injuries, an increase from the earlier report of four. A large police team is involved in questioning both victims and witnesses as the hunt for the perpetrator proceeds.
The attack took place at approximately 9:40 p.m. (1940 GMT) on Friday evening, when the attacker targeted multiple individuals with a knife, the police revealed.
