24-Year-Old Man Arrested for Alleged Rape and Forced Conversion

An FIR was filed against a 24-year-old man named Firoz for allegedly raping a teenager from a different community and pressuring her to convert her religion. The incident occurred on August 19, when the girl was on her way to attend nature's call in the fields. Firoz faces charges under multiple acts, including the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act and the POCSO Act.

In a disturbing development, an FIR was lodged on Wednesday against a 24-year-old man for allegedly raping a minor girl and pressuring her to convert her religion, according to the police.

The accused, identified as Firoz, has since been taken into custody. The complaint was filed by a 16-year-old girl from a village within the jurisdiction of the Manjhanpur police station. Circle Officer Abhishek Singh disclosed that the girl was assaulted by the accused on August 19 while she was heading to the fields.

Legal action has been initiated against Firoz, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, the POCSO Act, and charges of rape. The authorities confirmed that the accused has been apprehended.
