The Delhi High Court has scheduled a hearing on September 11 for a petition filed by the Popular Front of India (PFI) against a UAPA tribunal order confirming the Centre's five-year ban on the organization.

Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela requested a short note from PFI's counsel to outline the scope of the court's jurisdiction in reviewing the tribunal's decision.

Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma argued that the petitioner cannot contest the tribunal's order based on 'merits,' as all relevant materials were duly considered in the decision-making process.
