Family members of the boy, whose stabbing by a fellow student incited communal tensions in Udaipur, organized a rally on Sunday, asserting they were barred from visiting him in the hospital.
The rally, comprising the boy's relatives and numerous supporters, commenced at Udaipur's Mukherjee Nagar Chowk and proceeded to MB Hospital, where demonstrators vocally demanded access to the boy.
Udaipur SP Yogesh Goyal clarified that there was a misunderstanding about the family's visitation rights. He confirmed the boy's condition is stable yet critical and announced an imminent medical bulletin.
As a precaution, mobile internet services remain suspended, additional police forces have been deployed, and markets are operational. Communal violence erupted in the city following the stabbing incident at a government school, resulting in property damage and widespread unrest.
Following the unrest, authorities demolished the alleged attacker's house, constructed illegally on forest land, enforced prohibitory orders, and detained the attacker's father for questioning. The Class-10 student implicated in the incident has been remanded to a juvenile home.
