India-Japan '2+2' Dialogue Set to Boost Strategic Ties
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar are set to hold the '2+2' dialogue with their Japanese counterparts next week. The meeting aims to enhance strategic ties and review the Indo-Pacific situation. This dialogue will strengthen the India-Japan special strategic and global partnership.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar are poised to engage in the upcoming '2+2' dialogue with Japanese counterparts. The engagement is slated to enhance strategic collaborations and evaluate the Indo-Pacific domain.
External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced that the third edition of the India-Japan 2+2 ministerial dialogue will convene on August 20 in New Delhi. This diplomatic event has seen its prior editions in 2019 in India and 2022 in Japan.
Japan will be represented by Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa and Defence Minister Minoru Kihara in this dialogue that aims to significantly bolster ties. The '2+2' format with Japan seeks to deepen bilateral security and defense cooperation, aligning with similar dialogues India conducts with the US, Australia, and Russia.
