Two Arrested in Pune Over Unreported Death Amid Metal Theft

In Pune's Velhe tehsil, two men were arrested for allegedly burying their friend without notifying his family or authorities after he died falling from a 100-foot electricity tower during an attempted metal theft near Ranjane village.

In a concerning incident from Pune district, two men have been detained for allegedly burying their friend without informing his family or the police. The deceased, Basavraj Mangrule, fell from a 100-foot electricity tower during a failed metal theft attempt last month.

The accused, identified as Saurabh Renuse and Rupesh Yenpure, buried Mangrule in the Pabe forest instead of seeking medical assistance after his tragic fall from the defunct high-tension tower near Ranjane village.

Mangrule's family reported him missing, which led police to question Renuse and Yenpure. The duo eventually confessed and showed authorities where they had buried Mangrule. Further investigations are ongoing.
