Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has voiced his dissatisfaction with the Central Government for not providing assistance to the state despite weeks of heavy rains, exposing the vulnerability of the region.

Addressing PTI Videos, Singh called on local MPs and Union Health Minister J P Nadda to intervene and secure a financial aid package from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to mitigate the crisis caused by landslides, floods, and cloudbursts.

According to state officials, these natural disasters have led to at least 110 fatalities and caused losses estimated at Rs 1,004 crore, with the Public Works Department bearing the brunt. Singh also noted the threats to minority communities in Bangladesh, underlining the need for sensitive handling of asylum requests.
