A Delhi court has extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till August 20 in a corruption case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) connected to the alleged excise scam.
Special Judge Kaveri Baweja made the decision to extend Kejriwal's custody after he appeared before the court via video conference. The court session took place on Thursday.
The court is expected to review a supplementary charge sheet filed by the CBI against Kejriwal on August 12, which could be pivotal in the ongoing case.
