Security protocols along the Guwahati Frontier of the Indo-Bangladesh border have been reviewed, preparing for potential contingencies. Commanders are directed to maintain readiness and heightened surveillance, with augmented manpower and quick reaction teams deployed. The 509 km stretch under the BSF Guwahati Frontier, from West Bengal's Cooch Behar to Assam's South Salamara Mankachar, is closely monitored by 11 battalions and a water wing.
Increased manpower at border outposts and full utilization of all surveillance equipment ensure effective monitoring. Sub-units are instructed to maintain high vigilance. Enhanced intelligence operations provide real-time information to swiftly counter any emerging threats.
