Philippines and Germany to Forge Stronger Defence Cooperation

The Philippines and Germany have committed to a broader defence cooperation arrangement, aiming to establish long-term relations between their armed forces. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and Philippine Defence Minister Gilberto Teodoro made the announcement in Manila, celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations and expanding training and bilateral exchanges.

The Philippines and Germany have pledged to finalize a more comprehensive defence cooperation agreement, according to a joint statement released by their defence ministers on Sunday.

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and his Philippine counterpart, Gilberto Teodoro, met in Manila to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two nations. This meeting also marks 70 years of diplomatic relations between Germany and the Philippines.

The defence ministers also committed to developing long-term relations between their armed forces to facilitate expanded training programs and bilateral exchanges.
