Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Saturday that his government will construct 100 houses for victims of the landslide-hit Wayanad in Kerala.

Siddaramaiah, in a social media post on 'X', expressed his solidarity with Kerala and assured support, emphasizing that Karnataka will help rebuild and restore hope in the affected area.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared Siddaramaiah's post, expressing gratitude to the people and government of Karnataka for their generous support. He stressed that the commitment to constructing 100 houses is vital for rehabilitation efforts. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also thanked the Karnataka Chief Minister for his humanity and compassion.

The tragic landslides in Wayanad have resulted in 215 deaths, with over 500 injured and about 300 people still missing as rescue operations continue under challenging conditions.
