Karnataka Pledges 100 Houses for Wayanad Landslide Victims

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the construction of 100 houses for victims of a landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. This gesture, supported by Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, underscores the solidarity between Karnataka and Kerala during this tragic period, where over 215 people have died and many are still missing.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Saturday that his government will construct 100 houses for victims of the landslide-hit Wayanad in Kerala.

Siddaramaiah, in a social media post on 'X', expressed his solidarity with Kerala and assured support, emphasizing that Karnataka will help rebuild and restore hope in the affected area.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared Siddaramaiah's post, expressing gratitude to the people and government of Karnataka for their generous support. He stressed that the commitment to constructing 100 houses is vital for rehabilitation efforts. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also thanked the Karnataka Chief Minister for his humanity and compassion.

The tragic landslides in Wayanad have resulted in 215 deaths, with over 500 injured and about 300 people still missing as rescue operations continue under challenging conditions.
