Delhi's Top Brass Shake-Up: Senior IPS Transfers Announced

Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has transferred seven senior IPS officers from the AGMUT cadre to various divisions within the national capital. The officers include Nuzhat Hassan, Neeraj Thakur, Ajay Chaudhry, Chhaya Sharma, Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Jaspal Singh, and Sharad Agarwal, who have been assigned new roles in departments such as Economic Offences Wing, Traffic Management, and Protective Security Division.

Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has initiated a significant reshuffle in the police force with the transfer of seven senior IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre to new posts in the capital.

Nuzhat Hassan, a 1991-batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from her role as Special Commissioner of Economic Offences Wing to Special Commissioner in the Human Resource Division.

Neeraj Thakur, from the 1994 batch, is moving from his position as Special Commissioner and MD at Delhi Police Corporation Ltd. to a similar role at Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited.

Ajay Chaudhry, a 1996 batch officer, transitions from Special Commissioner of Armed Force Division to Special Commissioner of Traffic Management, while Chhaya Sharma of the 1999 batch takes on additional responsibilities in SPUWAC and SPUNER along with her current role in the Training Division.

Devesh Chandra Srivastava and Jaspal Singh, both recently returned from posts as state force chiefs in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Goa, will now serve as Special Commissioners of Crime and Protective Security Division, respectively. Sharad Agarwal, a 1997 batch officer, has been appointed Special Commissioner of the Economic Offences Wing after serving as Joint Director of the CBI.
