Two men, Vinod Dokphode and Rakhib Majid Khan, were arrested for stealing 110 batteries from a godown in Bhiwandi, Thane district. The Narpoli police recovered 72 batteries worth Rs 6.16 lakh. Dokphode, a former godown employee, used a duplicate key to steal the batteries and sold them to Khan. Both were apprehended on Thursday.

Two men have been apprehended for stealing a total of 110 batteries from a godown in Bhiwandi, Thane district, according to a police official on Saturday.

The Narpoli police stated that they recovered 72 batteries worth Rs 6.16 lakh from the accused, Vinod Dokphode and Rakhib Majid Khan.

Dokphode, a former employee at the Batale village godown, allegedly used a duplicate key to access the facility and stole the batteries, which he then sold to Khan. The arrests were made on Thursday.
