Mamata Banerjee Confirms Participation in NITI Aayog Meeting Amid Opposition Boycott

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed her participation in the upcoming NITI Aayog meeting. This comes as several other Chief Ministers of the INDIA bloc announced their boycott against the Union budget. Banerjee aims to register her protest against what she calls a 'discriminatory budget' and 'political bias'.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed on Friday her intention to attend the central think-tank NITI Aayog meeting scheduled for July 27 in Delhi.

Banerjee's declaration came amidst a backdrop of uncertainty, as many CMs of the INDIA bloc have planned to skip the meet.

Speaking at the Kolkata airport before her departure, Banerjee stated she would use the opportunity to protest against the 'discriminatory budget' and the 'conspiracy to divide West Bengal and other opposition-ruled states'.
