Rahul Gandhi's Defamation Case Hearing Set for August 12
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared before the MP-MLA court for a defamation case hearing. The next hearing is scheduled for August 12 to record the petitioner's statement. BJP leader Vijay Mishra filed the case against Gandhi in 2018 for remarks against Amit Shah. Gandhi was granted bail in February 2020.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared before the MP-MLA court here on Friday for a hearing in a defamation case.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for August 12, at which time the petitioner's statement will be recorded.
Court sources confirmed that Gandhi is not required to appear in court again on that date. Congress district president Abhishek Singh Rana also confirmed Gandhi's presence in court. The defamation case, filed by local BJP leader Vijay Mishra on August 4, 2018, pertains to alleged objectionable remarks made by Gandhi against the then BJP president and current Home Minister Amit Shah. The court had granted bail to Gandhi in this case on February 20.
