Ukrainian law enforcement officials arrested an 18-year-old male on Thursday, suspected of killing former nationalist parliamentarian Iryna Farion. The arrest follows her recent shooting in the streets of Lviv.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the suspect was apprehended in Dnipro. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated that the investigation is exploring multiple motives, including potential Russian involvement and Farion's social activities.

Farion, a member of the ultranationalist Svoboda party, served in the Ukrainian parliament from 2012 to 2014. She was known for her campaigns supporting the Ukrainian language and recently criticized Ukrainian troops for speaking Russian, spurring controversy.
