President Droupadi Murmu Marks Two Years with Developmental Initiatives

President Droupadi Murmu, completing two years in office, emphasizes contributing to the development of all societal sections, especially the deprived and backward classes. She engaged with students on nature conservation, inaugurated multiple facilities, and emphasized digitization. She also represented India at international events, making Rashtrapati Bhavan more accessible to the public.

President Droupadi Murmu, celebrating her second year in office on Thursday, vowed to continue her efforts towards developing all sections of society, especially the deprived and backward classes.

During her tenure, many initiatives have increased public engagement with Rashtrapati Bhavan. She also interacted with Class 9 students, teaching them about nature conservation and climate change and shared her personal stories of caring for plants and animals.

Murmu inaugurated a redeveloped Shiva temple, a Skill India Centre alongside Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary, and numerous sports and digital facilities. She further praised the digitization efforts at Rashtrapati Bhavan for enhancing convenience, speed, transparency, and accountability.

As per an e-book detailing her presidency, Murmu actively participated in various public and international activities, including casting her vote in the 2024 General Elections, promoting digital payments, and inspiring children to adopt a healthy lifestyle through sports. Her efforts have made Rashtrapati Bhavan significantly more open to the public with record visitor numbers.
