Pakistani counter-terrorism officials have successfully arrested Amin ul Haq, a senior leader within the Al-Qaeda network and a close associate of Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Punjab registered a legal case against ul Haq, accusing him of planning sabotage aimed at critical installations in the province.
CTD's spokesperson stated that the arrest was a substantial achievement in the fight against terrorism, achieved through collaboration with intelligence agencies. Bin Laden was killed in a 2011 U.S. raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
