Man Arrested in Navi Mumbai for Alleged Child Sodomy

In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old man named Akshay Gaikwad was apprehended on Thursday by the Navi Mumbai police for allegedly sodomising a 7-year-old boy. The heinous act reportedly took place on July 17 at an under-construction building.
According to the Khandeshwar police station, Gaikwad took the young boy to the isolated site where the crime was committed. A complaint was lodged by the boy's parents, leading to Gaikwad's arrest.
Gaikwad now faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, authorities confirmed.
