Sanitation Scandal: Cow Carcass Dragged by Tractor Sparks Outrage in MP's Bhind

Seven temporary sanitary workers in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district were terminated after a viral photograph showed them dragging a cow carcass tied to a tractor. The workers, instead of burying the dead cow, dragged it for one and a half kilometers before dumping it open. This resulted in a notice being served to the Chief Municipal Officer (CMO).

In a disturbing incident in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district, services of seven temporary sanitary workers were terminated on Tuesday after a viral photo showing a cow carcass tied to a tractor sparked outrage.

The incident occurred within Malanpur Nagar Panchayat's limits, according to officials.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Parag Jain reported that the sanitary workers found a deceased cow by the roadside, tied it to a tractor, and dragged it for one and a half kilometers to dump it in the open, contravening protocols that require such remains to be buried.

Following the photograph's circulation on social media, a notice was issued to Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Yashwant Rathore. The Nagar Panchayat's statement confirmed the termination of the workers for negligence and violating directives.
