At least one person was killed in renewed anti-government protests across Kenya on Tuesday, a Reuters reporter confirmed. Police clashed with demonstrators demanding the resignation of President William Ruto, who they accuse of corruption and poor governance.

Youth-led protests, which began a month ago over proposed tax hikes, have continued despite Ruto's withdrawal of the legislation and dismissal of almost his entire cabinet. Activists insist on systemic changes.

The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) reported that at least 50 people have died in the protests so far. In Kitengela, police fired at crowds of rock-throwing protesters. Demonstrators burned tyres and chanted, "Ruto must go!"
