The murder of VIP chief Mukesh Sahani's father has cast a spotlight on the 'chaotic situation' of law and order in Bihar, according to RJD leader Manoj Jha, who decried the status quo as 'jungle raj'.

Police confirmed that Jitan Sahani, father of Mukesh Sahani, was found with multiple stab wounds in his ancestral home in Darbhanga on Tuesday morning.

Jha, in a social media post on X, slammed the state government, saying this incident highlighted a severe breakdown in public safety, asserting that the trust index has hit rock bottom. He extended his condolences to the family while excoriating the JD(U)-BJP government for failing to ensure safety across districts.

Jha further elaborated on Bihar's law and order failures, citing daily reports of rape, murder, and arson, and questioned why the government remains in power despite public disillusionment.
