Puducherry Police Partners with NIT Karaikal for Skill Enhancement

The Puducherry Police Department and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Karaikal signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday to improve professional standards and build capacity for local police officers.
Puducherry Director General of Police B Srinivas and NIT Karaikal Director M M Ghangrekar exchanged documents in a ceremony, according to a press release from the police department.
The DGP thanked NIT Karaikal for the collaboration and highlighted previously signed MOUs with Rashtriya Raksha University and Puducherry Technological University aimed at skill enhancement for police recruits and technical research collaboration.
NIT Karaikal Director Ghangrekar praised the police department's initiative and ensured the effective implementation of the MoU. He also commended NIT students for developing the 'Karai Kaavalan' app, a tool that allows citizens to lodge complaints online.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Brijendra Kumar Yadav and Senior Superintendent of Police Karaikal, Manish, were among the attendees.
