A shooting at a mosque in Muscat, Oman, on Tuesday has claimed the lives of four individuals and injured several others, according to a statement by the Royal Oman Police.
The incident occurred in the Wadi Kabir neighbourhood of the Omani capital, but authorities have not yet revealed any motive or identified suspects responsible for the attack.
Such violent incidents are rare in Oman, a nation located on the eastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula.
