Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) R R Swain has raised concerns over new methods of terrorist infiltration from the Punjab border. Speaking at an inter-state security meeting, Swain highlighted the need to address the terrorists' use of tunnels for infiltration.

Swain informed reporters that although infiltration through the Punjab border is well-known, it remains a significant issue. Senior BSF and police officers gathered at a security review meeting in Kathua, discussing recent ambushes believed to be carried out by terrorists crossing the International Border.

Swain also addressed the rise in terror attacks, noting that while the number of terrorists in Kashmir is low, the challenge lies in their unaccountability and lethal intentions. He stressed the importance of effectively tackling even a few such entities.
