Teenager Shoots Man Inside GTB Hospital Ward

A 32-year-old man, Riyazuddin, was shot dead by an 18-year-old inside a ward of GTB Hospital. Admitted for an abdominal infection, Riyazuddin was attacked around 4 pm. The police have registered a case and formed teams to apprehend the shooter, suspecting personal enmity as the motive.

A 32-year-old man named Riyazuddin was tragically shot dead by a teenager inside GTB Hospital on Sunday, police reported.

Riyazuddin, who had been admitted on June 23 for an abdominal infection, was targeted inside Ward Number 24. Police were alerted to the scene through a PCR call to the GTB Enclave police station.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary stated that an 18-year-old man entered the ward around 4 pm and opened fire on Riyazuddin. The victim was later declared dead by hospital authorities. The DCP added that initial investigations suggest personal enmity as a possible motive. Authorities have registered a case and formed teams to apprehend the suspect.
