The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday carried out a major reshuffle among its Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, affecting several key districts.

Chandra Vijay Singh, previously the Sonbhadra District Magistrate, has been appointed as the new DM of Ayodhya, as confirmed by official sources.

Nitish Kumar, the current DM of Ayodhya, will now serve as Managing Director of Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. Badri Nath Singh, who was special secretary at Raj Bhavan, has been designated the new DM of Sonbhadra.

In another move, Nidhi Srivastav has replaced Manoj Kumar to become the new DM of Budaun. Kumar will now be the Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission.

Divya Mittal has been appointed the new DM of Deoria, replacing Akhand Pratap Singh, who is taking her former role in the UP State Rural Road Development Authority.

Further, Indra Mani Tripathi, the Vice Chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), is now the new DM of Auraiya, replacing Neha Prakash, who has been made the Director of Training and Employment in UP.

Prathmesh Kumar, previously a special secretary with the chief minister, has been named the new vice chairman of LDA.
