Preliminary details indicate that Jaiswal had entered the well to retrieve a wooden strip when he fainted. His family's desperate calls for help prompted three members of the Patel family to enter the well, followed by Chandra. All succumbed to unconsciousness, leading locals to notify the authorities.

The State Disaster Response Forces (SDRF) team is currently engaged in recovering the bodies. 'Prima facie it seems that they died after inhaling some poisonous gas inside the well,' Shukla mentioned, while further investigation is underway.
