A court here on Wednesday allowed Kondhwa police to take custody of builder Vishal Agarwal in connection with a cheating case.

Police had filed a case last month against Agarwal and his father, following accusations by real estate agent Mushtaq Momin. Momin claimed he was not paid a commission of Rs 1.32 crore for assisting them in acquiring a disputed plot in Kondhwa in 2019.

''A sessions court permitted the Kondhwa police to take Vishal Agarwal into custody,'' public prosecutor Prem Kumar Agrawal stated. Vishal Agarwal, currently in the custody of Hinjawadi police for another cheating case, will be arrested by Kondhwa police after being remanded to judicial custody.
