"The European Investment Bank (EIB) has accepted the request of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) to lift the immunity of two of its former employees, as well as the inviolability of its premises, buildings and archives in Luxembourg," the EPPO said in statement.
A spokesperson for the EU bank said: "We will cooperate fully with the European Public Prosecutor's Office on this matter as required," but that it could not comment on ongoing external investigations.
