Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington, and Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur, Dhaka, have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation in Military Education, particularly in the fields of Strategic and Operational Studies.

The signing took place during the official state visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh to India on June 22, 2024. Both institutions, which train officers across tri-services, share common training philosophies, curriculum, and operational challenges, making the collaboration mutually beneficial.

The MoU seeks to elevate professional standards, deepen understanding of strategic matters, share best practices, and strengthen academic capabilities among student officers and faculty members of both colleges. It will facilitate joint training programs, seminars, faculty exchanges, reciprocal visits by instructors, and other collaborative initiatives.

This strategic partnership is expected to foster closer ties between the two defense education institutions, ultimately enhancing the operational readiness and leadership skills of military officers from both countries.
