A 23-year-old Bangladeshi man, who arrived in India for medical treatment, has mysteriously vanished from a Kolkata hotel, police officials reported on Saturday.

Mohammed Dilwar Hossain, a native of Hemayetpur in Pabna Sadar upazila, Bangladesh, was last observed on Wednesday. Following the disappearance, his family lodged a complaint at the Park Street police station, prompting an extensive search operation.

Police obtained CCTV footage showing Hossain roaming the Maidan area seemingly at ease, but subsequent efforts to locate him have proven unsuccessful. Authorities across nearby cities have been alerted as the search continues. Hossain came to Kolkata with his family earlier last week.
